Dassault Aviation took part in the open days organized at Air Force Base BA 125 in Istres (France) on September 28 and 29, 2024.

The event marked the 90th anniversary of the French Air and Space Force, the 60th anniversary of the Strategic Air Forces (FAS), and the 80th anniversary of Operation Dragoon in Provence and the Liberation.

Éric Trappier, CEO of Dassault Aviation, was present at BA 125 alongside General Jérôme Bellanger, Chief of Staff of the French Air and Space Force.

Several flight demonstrations were organized, including the Rafale Solo Display, the Rafale “Requin Mike” patrol, and the Patrouille de France. The agenda also included a flyover specially organized by the Strategic Air Forces to celebrate their 60th anniversary.

On the ground, a static display featured old and new aircraft, including a Falcon 6X currently undergoing a flight test campaign to prepare for the transition to 100% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).

Aircraft tours, educational activities, and a variety of stands were available to all (the event drew approximately 50,000 visitors).

In this context, Dassault Aviation showcased the professions represented at our flight test base (near BA 125), set up our boutique “The Store”, and offered digital demonstrations.

With over 10,000 military and civil aircraft (including 2,700 Falcons) delivered in more than 90 countries over the last century, Dassault Aviation has built up expertise recognized worldwide in the design, development, sale and support of all types of aircraft, ranging from the Rafale fighter, to the high-end Falcon family of business jets, military drones and space systems.

In 2023, Dassault Aviation reported revenues of €4.8 billion. The company has 13,500 employees.
